Collin - "I watch cartoons?" Mommy - "I have to see what time it is." Collin - "Cartoon time!"
Daddy - "Collin, you can go pee in the potty." Collin (Emphatically) - "May-be Not!"
When we tell Collin to close his eyes for the prayer he says "No, it's dark"
Yes, I do I do"
I no like time outs"
We sure love these little people. Marissa stood up for the first time 2 days ago. She was holding on to the toy box and stood right up. She's moving way too fast if you ask me. But we sure love it. We also had our first set of stitches, and I'm sure it won't be the last, unfortunately. While I was at church playing floor hockey with some women Collin somehow got his finger stuck in a door and got a deep cut. We had to take him to the urgent care where he got 4 stitches. No fun, especially with 2 crying kids. Yuck. Poor guy, he has been brave and good about it. Now the hard part is trying to get the band-aid off so we can check it. These kids keep us on our toes and we just love them. Here are some of the latest pictures.
Adam and I were married for time and all eternity August 11, 2005. We love life and love this crazy little adventure of raising a family!
Our little boy
Collin is a fun, silly, lovable five year-old. He has a contagious laugh and brings so much joy to our family.
Our sweet girl
Marissa is our little sweet and sassy little 3 year old.
Our sweet baby
Trevor is our precious little blue-eyed baby. He is sweet and easy going and we all adore him.
Collin the shots, This months best Collinisms
Tonight during prayers Collin prayed to please bless that the baby will kick soon. And then he later said in the prayer and please bless the baby to be happy and eat his dinner and breakfast. so cute! Think he's excited.
Collin and Marissa were in the back of the car arguing saying "mine", "mine", "mine", back and forth. FInally Collin stops and says, "Marissa what are we talking about". ha ha that's what I want to know. They're already fighting over nothing.
While singing bedtime songs, I asked Collin what song he wanted. He said, "the one about Jesus as a baby and the gingerbread man house." I could not figure it out and he kept holding fast to the gingerbread man. Finally I figured it out, it was Away in a Manger. ha ha
At the grocery store Collin saw brown eggs, very excited he said, "look Mom, chocolate eggs!" He was disappointed when I told him the truth.
Collin found an ant in our house during quiet time. He decided to bring it into his room and let him "play". He called him little ant. He was so disappointed when he disappeared. He told me, "little ant is really good at hiding" as we searched for him.
Today I was telling Collin something was hard and I wasn't sure if I could do it. He said, "Mom, I know you can do it, cause you have power in your mind." LOVE IT! I think he's my best cheerleader
Collin and I were talking about his full name. He has a hard time grasping his middle name and last name. He finally got it. I told him Daddy's full name and he then told me mine: Mommy Michael Brandt. ha ha, I had a great laugh with that!
